This is a True gem Fossil Ammonite; these types of Ammonites found fully Pyritized or Pyritiferous, the external shell is almost like a mirror, Emitting high metallic lustre, and internal chamber walls metamorphosed from the once chitin substance of the living invertebrates shell now transformed into Iron Pyrite; sometimes referred to as Fools Gold

Specimens of this nature are uncommon, as only few beds allow and yield this type of Fossilization to occur and take effect, creating these truly wondrous and Rare Fossils

The depositional environment was anoxic at the time of fossilization, influencing the mineral exchange by Iron Pyrite
